Self-Braking Cars Get Green Light | Video – ABC News

Volvo’s City Safety technology continues to make headlines.  The system is designed to prevent low speed collisions by automatically applying the brakes when you get too close to the car in front of you.

Swedespeed Project S60 T6: One Month In

In Uncategorized on July 12, 2011 at 2:17 pm

We just celebrated the end of month one with our Volvo S60, an event
that coincided with the car’s odometer cruising past 2500 miles. The way
this car soaks up the miles without the smallest complaint, we’d expect
that pace to only increase as the year goes along. It’s also given us
more than enough time to say this: the 2011 S60 is the best car Volvo
has made in a very long time. From a company that’s been at the back of
the pack for technology in recent years, the S60 is a leader. From a
company that’s viewed by some as a builder of soft, dull cars, the S60
can run with the sportiest of the class, and the upcoming R-Design will
only make that statement easier to defend.

The best car buying experience in our 45 years of buying cars!

In Uncategorized on July 11, 2011 at 6:36 pm

The best car buying experience in our 45 years of buying cars! This is the third time we have purchased from Keystone (four new Volvos, total). Each time we were treated fairly, patiently and respectfully. This is why we have returned time and again to Keystone, even though it is a considerable distance from our home, and there are other Volvo dealers within a far more convenient distance.Jeff and Joe most carefully listened to our specifications, and spent a considerable amount of time searching for the vehicle that we wanted. They were prompt, reliable, and paid attention to every detail that we could think of. The car was ready when promised, and in spotless condition (of course).Rob was the man who did the concluding paper work, again thoroughly and superbly well done.GO TO THEM!

2012 Volvo S60 T5: Crash Test Dummies Like It

In Uncategorized on July 8, 2011 at 7:43 pm

The 2011-2012 Volvo S60s have gotten IIHS’s 2011 top pick for safety  thanks to “good performance in front, side, rollover, and rear tests and standard electronic stability control.” The car — IIHS tested a 2012 Volvo S60 T5 4-door 2wd — scored “Good” across the board putting it right up there with 2012 midsize luxury/near luxury cars like the Audi A4, Lincoln MKZ, Mercedes C-Class and VW CC.

Seize the Days

In Uncategorized on July 8, 2011 at 3:59 pm

There aren’t many of us who have not been impacted in some way by cancer.  A friend, a family member, a co-worker, it is a disease that affects us all.  Here is another organization that lends a voice not only to survivors, but to victims of cancer as well.  http://www.seizethedays.org

Meet
Heather.  She’s a dedicated mom, a loving wife and a cancer warrior.
Heather decided early on in her fight with colon cancer that she would
wage an all-out war against the disease. With her friends and family by
her side, she has written an online journal, raised money through the
American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and focused her energy on
“living, surviving and thriving.”

I’m an oncologist. Every day, I meet patients like Heather who fight
their disease in remarkable ways. This site is about them, their
journeys, their stories. It’s a place for all of us – patients,
families, friends, doctors, nurses – to share the unique and meaningful
ways that people who are living with cancer add life to their days.
